Tampa’s BeniComp Health Solutions is returning to office life and adding more employees.

The company has leased 3,000 square feet on the 13th floor of Tampa City Center a building on East Jackson Street in downtown.

BeniComp first moved to Tampa from Indiana in 2016 but, like many companies, shifted to working remotely during the pandemic.

Now, as it gets back to the office, the company is looking to grow by hiring 100 new employees by 2025. These jobs will work in client support, sales and marketing, software development, preventive health, and accounting, according to a statement from the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council.

The company currently employs 50 people.

BeniComp is a third-party administrator of employee benefit plans which helps companies move from fully insured to self-funded health coverage for their workers.

Earlier this year, the company told the Business Observer it doesn’t disclose its revenue but that its signature IncentiCare program has grown 1,000% over the past two years while the number of BeniComp Select customers has tripled during that time.

Steve Presser, the company’s president, says in the statement that it saw a significant growth in sales during COVID and a need for additional staff. Because of the impending return to the office, the hiring focus has been on Tampa.

“As we continue to grow quickly, it’s more important now than ever to sustain one cohesive culture,” he says. “That’s something that can really only be done by having our employees meet and collaborate on a regular basis.”
