Enrollment
BeniComp® administers a confidential, company-wide Tobacco Affidavit to determine the eligible population for the Tobacco Cessation Program.
- Employees who report tobacco use on their affidavit receive an email and a phone call introducing the program. They can enroll online or over the phone.
Engagement
Upon enrollment in the program, all participants receive:
- Online educational materials and a video on tobacco cessation strategies.
- An outline of requirements to earn incentives through the program.
- A phone call from their personal Health Coach further explaining the program and inviting them to engage in ongoing tobacco cessation coaching.
- Vouchers toward nicotine replacement therapy (NRT).*
Confidential Coaching
Each participant is paired with a Health Coach who assists them in creating a personalized quit plan. Participants complete a minimum of 5 coaching sessions over the course of 4-6 months.
- All health coaching sessions are scheduled at a convenient time for the participant and conducted via phone.
Incentives
If your company chooses to implement incentives, a BeniComp® representative will work with you to determine appropriate incentive amounts and requirements to earn them. Incentives may be rewarded for program engagement in addition to quitting successfully.
- Participants’ tobacco use status is assessed at 6 months and 1 year after the program start date.
- Upon successfully quitting tobacco use, participants receive a predetermined monetary incentive.
Convenient, personal support drives success.
Our Health Coaches are Registered Nurses trained in tobacco cessation protocols. They form relationships with participants as they:
- Conduct an in-depth, individual assessment
- Address personal lifestyle factors
- Identify barriers to tobacco cessation
- Create a plan and establish a “quit date”
Employees are provided with continual support for a full year to ensure sustained lifestyle change.
